how fantastic!
When my husband and I were first dating he hosted a small dinner party and started things off with these. We used Cognac, maraschino liqueur and Cointreau, lemon juice and champagne. Let me tell you, they packed quite a punch! After two I was talking art history like I thought I was in a styling early century Parisian!
yes please!! Looks delicious – I know what I’ll be making Friday night. Thanks.
I wish we had gin! Oh wait my husband works at the liquor store…hmmmm
Made these last night!! Drinks were fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing the recipe – this is what we made last night to say goodbye to 2010.
Perfect, except that I didn’t read the recipe properly and put all of the ingredients into the cocktail shaker, including the champagne. What a mess!
Coworker invited me over for New Year’s Day and made me one of these–though she used simple syrup instead of plain sugar. Delicious!
I was drinking these on NYE! Happy to be introduced to them in Orlando…
I too LOVE the French 75! Thank you for sharing your version. It takes second only to my all-time fave, the sidecar!
This is the perfect picture of “refreshment”
