Hi, I’m back. So what do you think of the new design for the blog? Like it? I do. Took a bit longer than anticipated to figure it all out and make it proper, but here we are. Thanks for your patience during the downtime. It’s great to be back—hope you’re ready to eat!

Perhaps you’re wondering why the redesign in the first place? The short answer would be: I just wanted something cleaner that was simpler for everyone to navigate. Thanks again Mike and Jenn for making it happen. (WilkieBirdsall)

With this new format, we now have more practical things like:

  1. Categories (denoted by the icons at the top). You can browse by ingredient!
  2. A kick-ass, turbo search field. Go test that baby out.
  3. A sidebar where you’ll find my blogroll and some featured recipes/posts.
  4. Improved recipe cards that are quicker to load!
  5. Comments! So talk amongst yourselves or let me know what’s up without having to go through the trouble of writing an email.

  6. I’ll have a new recipe for you in a couple days. In the meantime, do some exploring around here, get comfortable and please let me know if you find anything screwy.

    I LOVE your baby food recipes! Any more ideas? The whole family is scrambling for frozen applesauce cubes.

    Glad you like! Well, since I don’t have any babies of my own, I haven’t explored the topic too, too much. Though, I’m considering doing a finger food post as a sequel in the near future.

    i really like the new look! i have a few questions:

    where is the link to look at your awesome photos?

    once we are fully immersed into the site by clicking on ‘protein’, ‘salads’, etc. how do we get back to the main page without pressing ‘back’ numerous times? is there a link i am missing?

    ps. made the beer bread last week. it was yummy!

    Hi, glad you like!
    1. All photos will now be added as posts. So there won’t be a section for photos, per say, but I’ll post random pics more frequently and they will be filed under the Simple Pleasures category.
    2. Once deep within the blog, all you have to do to return to the main landing page is click on the Honest Fare header at the top.
    Hope I’ve answered your questions!

    Really like the new layout! Cole made that beer bread a while back and I could not stop eating. So good. Can’t wait for the next update. Hope to see something Korean fusioned. *your photos are amazing!
